Does Bond-Pro support Windows 7?

 

Version 7 supports Windows 7. If you are on Version 6 or earlier, you will need to update your Bond-Pro software. You may also download and install XP Mode for Windows 7. It is a free utility that creates a Windows XP Virtual Machine on your Windows 7 computer. Essentially it is like having another computer on your desktop. You can find more information on XP Mode at the Microsoft website by following the following link:

What are the system requirements to run the Bond-Pro products?

This may vary due to your implementation and the number of users accessing the system. Our minimum requirements are:

        Windows 2000,NT,XP Pro, Server 2003 or Vista

        Microsoft Word & Excel (i.e. Microsoft Office)

        Minimum of 40MB of Disk Space for Installation

        Minimum of 200 MB of Disk Space On Server for Forms & Data

        Internet Connection

        Minimum of 512MB of RAM (1GB Recommended)

        Minimum 800x600 monitor resolution

If I forget my password, how do I retrieve it?

Contact your system supervisor and have him/her change your password by logging in as system supervisor and pressing ALT-F7. This will allow the system supervisor to access theuser information and change the password.

How do I download a form?

Make sure you are first connected to your Internet Service Provider (i.e. AOL, etc.). Open Bond-Pro®. From the file management pull down menu or push button menu go to Edit Bond Type File. From the Bond Type Browse, click on the Download Forms button.
Select the state on the left side and then tag all the bonds that you wish to download. Then click on the Install button to download the forms. Bond-Pro will automatically add the forms to your Bond Type Browse. If your form is not among the list, try clicking on the Update List button. If the form is still not there, you can either create your own form or contact Bond-Pro to create the form for you and add it to our form library.

When downloading a form, I get a "null remote address" error message, how do I fix this?

Why can't I view the govbb.hed or govpp.hed forms?

You can not view these forms, because they are hard coded into the Bond-Pro® system.

Why can't I view any bond forms?

Contact your system supervisor. The system supervisor must log-in as system supervisor and press ALT-F7. This will allow the system supervisor access to the user information. Highlight the user and press change user. Make sure that the forms directory entry is pointing to the correct directory where your forms actually reside. (i.e. F:\Bondpro\BondFrms)

The same information is printing on my bond form no matter which bond I print, how do I fix this?

Go to edit/create form and choose the form in question. Press the button that looks like an eraser. This will clear all merge fields. All merge fields should now be question marks. Now save the form. Test print the form to ensure that all fields are being filled correctly.

How do I add a merge field to my Bond Form?

Place the cursor where you want the field. Press {A} button. Select the field that you want to add and click insert.

How do I delete a merge field from my form?

Place the cursor just to the left of the merge field and press SHIFT-RIGHT ARROW
(i.e. hold the shift button down and then press the right arrow key). Then press delete.

I can't view any bonds. My bond browse screen appears to be empty, what is wrong?

Check either the miscellaneous, contract, fidelity or environmental button at the top of the bond browse screen. If this does not work, contact Technical Support at: (888) 789-4985 or e-mail support@bond-pro.com.

I received a failed message after inputting the financial information, why?

Make sure that your assets match your liabilities. When inputting the financials, you must ensure that the assets match the liabilities. The message failed, indicates that the balance sheet is out of balance.

When do I need to create an endorsement/rider?

You must issue a rider or endorsement when you need to change the following: Bond Amount, Premium, Name & Address Information, Cancellation and reinstatement.

How do I add my letterhead to my invoices?

If you have a scanner, scan the letterhead/logo and save it to your hard drive. Remember where you saved it because your system supervisor will have to give each user access to the letter head by logging in as system supervisor and pressing change user and selectiong that letter head image to print on your invoices.

Or you may send a copy of your letterhead to TechSupport.
